Marlee and Fabian Eliminated on Dancing With the Stars           

Episode Recap, 4/22/08

Hello Dance Fans!

Millions of viewers voted for their favorite dancers this week, and once again we waited anxiously to find out who was safe and who was going home. After we were treated to a performance by Ashlee Simpson, the hosts started announcing the results. Derek Hough and his partner, Shannon Elizabeth of American Pie fame, were thankfully declared safe first. Marlee and Fabian, unfortunately, fell in the bottom two, and were immediately placed in that hideous red light.

As the audience waited for the rest of the results to be announced, they saw a Riverdance performance so energetic that we grew tired just watching! We also got to see another great performance from the young dancers competing in the "13 and Under" category. If watching those kids tear up the dance floor didn't make you want to get up and dance, I don't know what would!

After the kids performed, we soon learned that Marissa and Tony, Cristián and Cheryl, Mark Ballas and Kristi Yamaguchi, and Jason and Edyta were all safe, which meant that Karina Smirnoff and her partner, R&B sensation Mario, were also in the bottom two. Sadly, Marlee and Fabian were eliminated at the end of the show. We're really sorry to see Marlee go. Watching her learn to dance has been truly inspirational, and really proved that anyone can do it.
