Mark Ballas Keeping You Posted

Hey there everyone,
I am going to start blogging on what will be coming up next for me and for my band Ballas Hough Band, I want to make sure that all of you that have supported me over the last 2 years are aware of the awesome things that are going to be happening..... I want to thank all of you for the love and amazing support that i have received.
So i am In Des Moines IOWA at the moment training with my new Season 8 partner Shawn Johnson, we are only in our second week, and are working really hard, its been a fun week.
Shawn and I head back to LA tomorrow to continue or training, I am really excited for this season to begin and to of-course be dancing with Shawn, I hope you are all ready for
TEAM SHARK to take the floor....... get your votes ready lol.

Some other exciting news to do with my music, I am so excited to tell you guys that Ballas Hough Bands debut album will be hitting the shelves on March 10th, its been a long 10 years of writing, learning, playing pubs and clubs and getting on and off of the London Underground trains with all our equipment, and i must say i am so pleased with our first album and i really hope you all enjoy it as much as i did writing and recording it. if you want to hear some stuff you can always cruise over to www.myspace.com/ballashoughband
Our first Single (Do It For You) hit I tunes last week, and is available for download today.
Since being in IOWA i have started some new material and finished some lyrics on other songs that i am really excited about. I am so excited for all of you to hear this record.

It has been annonced that the season 8 partner for Mark Ballas will be Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson. The season begins on March 9, 2009. We wish Mark and Shawn the best of luck!!



The youngest ever competitor on Dancing with the Stars, 17 year-old Olympian Shawn Johnson was the gold medalist in balance beam at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing where she also earned 3 silver medals in the team, floor exercise and individual all-around categories. The current two-time National Champion and high-school Junior Johnson appeared on a limited edition Cheerios box in early 2009, led the pledge of allegiance at last year's Democratic National Convention in Denver, was a headliner of last fall's Tour of Gymnastics Superstars and was named Choice Female Athlete at the 2008 Teen Choice Awards. Her debut biography Shawn Johnson: Olympic Champion: Stories Behind the Smile was released in December.
